DESCRIPTION
Nitrile Rubber, also known as Buna-N, NBR, or butadiene rubber, is superior for oil and petroleum products applications. Nitrile rubber is a synthetic elastomer. Nitrile rubber is often used for gasket and seals. Oil and solvent resistant, FDA grades available, some chemical resistance, “Poor Man’s Viton™”. Decent Ozone resistance. Nitrile forms elastomers that are protected against organic and synthetic oils, chemicals, abrasions, and excess impact. Common uses of this product include materials for bumpers, pads, and gaskets. These Rubber Sheets are used between flanges and similar joints subjected to water & air pressure. Nitrile rubber sheets are a common sight in electrical transformer, food and sealing industries as they provide high tensile strength and are resistant to oil, fuels, grease and many other acids. They are also a popular material in the production of oil handling hoses, cable jackets and floor mats.
